2010 Trainee Abstract Awards 

The Organization for Human Brain Mapping (OHBM) is committed to the involvement of trainees in its annual meetings. To help encourage this, the OHBM offers a limited number of travel awards, which provide funds to help reimburse travel expenses for trainees attending the conference.

The award amount is 600 USD, with 86 awards being made out of 776 applicants. Awardees are required to pick-up their award check at the conference. Please visit the Trainee Abstract Travel Award Desk during the hourse listed below to collect your check. Please be prepared to provide proof of registration and a legal form of identification. Checks will not be mailed prior to or after the conference.

All awardees must register with the trainee abstract award desk award in Barcelona by 12:00 noon on Thursday, June 10, 2010 to claim their award. Failure to meet this deadline will cancel your award.

Deadline and Notification
The application deadline for Trainee Abstract Awards was April 1, 2010.

Please click here to see if you have been selected to receive a Trainee Abstract Award. It will be up to the applicant to refer to the website to confirm whether or not they have been selected to receive an award.
Those not selected to receive Trainee Abstract Awards will not be notified separately.

Eligibility
To be eligible for a trainee abstract award for OHBM 2010, trainees must be:

1.First author on an abstract accepted for presentation at HBM 2010
2. Registered for HBM 2010
3. Presently enrolled in a full-time "In Training" program (see definition below) in the field of human brain mapping
4. Presently a dues-paying member of OHBM

"In Training" Status
Three categories of "In Training" status will be recognized:

1. A full-time student in a graduate program (M.S., Ph.D. or M.D. degree) relating to the field of human brain mapping
2. A full-time participant in a medical residency program in a field relating to human brain mapping (e.g., psychiatry, neurology, neurosurgery, radiology)
3. A full-time post-doctoral fellow within two years of receiving the doctoral degree (Ph.D.) or within two years of completing residency training (M.D.)
