OHBM POLICY FOR MEMBERS FROM DEVELOPING COUNTRIES
OHBM provides an opportunity for members residing in World Bank countries that are classified as Low-Income or Lower-Income to apply for 50% reduction in Annual Meeting registration fees. OHBM uses data provided by the World Band and UNESCO Institute of Statistics (UIS) to qualify eligible countries.
Applications will be accepted up to the Annual Meeting registration cut-off date. All applications will be considered and will be reviewed on a first come, first serve basis with a
maximum of 50 individuals.
World Bank Low-Income and Lower-Income classified Countries:
Federated States of Micronesia
Syrian Arab Republic
Central African Republic
Papua New Guinea
Republic of the Congo
Lao People's Democratic Republic
Republic of Yemen
Democratic People's Republic of Korea
West Bank and Gaza
Democratic Republic of the Congo
São Tomé and Principe
To qualify, an applicant must:
- be a current OHBM member
- complete this Reduced Registration Application Form indicating financial need
- indicate and supply contact information for a supervisor, line manager, or senior academic that endorses the request for financial aid.
The OHBM Executive Office will review applications for eligibility while disqualifying incomplete applications, applicants with expired membership, and applicants who do NOT reside in countries classified as Low-income or Lower-income by the World Bank.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not register for the Annual Meeting until you have been contacted by the OHBM Executive Office with a code for the World Bank 50% discount. OHBM Executive Office will communicate to applicants as to whether they were selected to receive the discount.
